Pakistan's international cricketer Shahnawaz Dahani believes that there is a 'tough competition' now among national fast bowlers.
After the arrival of Ihsanullah and Zaman Khan into the national team through Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, there is now a tough competition among pacers.
In this regard, Dahani, who played two ODIs and 11 T20Is for Pakistan, said fitness is the key for everyone now.
"Competition has got tougher among fast bowlers to make comeback in the national team," said Dahani.
"So, fitness is a key now. Fast bowlers need to keep themselves fitter in order to play for Pakistan," added Dahani who also believes that new fast bowlers coming from the circuit is a good sign.
National team comeback
Dahani, who last played his international match back in October 2022, eyes comeback in the national team through performing on Zimbabwe tour.
"I am excited for this tour," said Dahani. "This tour will help us make a comeback to the national side. I will try and perform for my team on this tour," he added.
It must be noted here that Pakistan Shaheens will tour Zimbabwe to play two four-day and six 50-over format matches.
